Resume Mentor and the Resume Builder service (together, the “Service”) are products within DaniKConnections. These supplemental terms (“Resume Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and the person or entity identified as the service provider in the DaniKConnections Terms (“DaniKConnections,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

The DaniKConnections Terms and applicable privacy notice are incorporated into these Resume Terms. These Resume Terms control only where they specifically address the Service and conflict with the DaniKConnections Terms. The DaniKConnections Terms continue to control account administration, billing, governing law, venue, dispute resolution, arbitration, and any class-action waiver, to the extent those provisions apply and are enforceable.

You may use the Service only if you are at least 18 years old and have reached the legal age of majority in the state, province, country, or other jurisdiction where you live and use the Service, whichever age is higher. The Service is not directed to children or minors.

By using the Service, you represent that you satisfy this requirement, have legal capacity to enter a contract, and are not prohibited from using the Service under applicable law. If you use the Service for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind it. If you do not meet these conditions, do not create an account, submit information, or use the Service.

The Service helps users create, organize, review, score, tailor, and export resumes and related career materials. Some functions are deterministic software tools; others use artificial intelligence. Features, limits, formats, integrations, and availability may change over time.

The Service is an editing and informational aid. It is not a recruiter, employer, background-check provider, consumer-reporting agency, law firm, career-placement agency, or professional employment adviser.

When you choose an AI-powered feature, we send OpenAI the information reasonably needed to perform that request. Depending on the feature, this may include some or all of your resume text, uploaded-document text, career profile, job descriptions, instructions, chat messages, interview answers, and—if you choose a voice feature—audio or text to be transcribed or spoken. Contact information may be included when it is part of the material needed for the selected feature.

OpenAI processes this information as our third-party AI service provider to return generated text, structured analysis, transcription, or speech. As currently configured, text-generation requests use OpenAI’s storage-disabled setting, and DaniKConnections does not opt this application’s API content into voluntary model training. OpenAI states that API content is not used to train its models unless the API customer expressly opts in. OpenAI may nevertheless retain prompts, responses, and related metadata in abuse-monitoring logs for up to 30 days by default, and may retain information longer when legally required or reasonably necessary to protect its services or others. Retention can vary by endpoint, feature, and provider configuration.

You can decline this transfer by not using AI-powered features, but those features cannot work without it. Before using them, remove Social Security numbers, government identification numbers, financial-account details, health information, or other sensitive information that is not necessary for a resume.

You retain your rights in the resumes, career information, job descriptions, prompts, files, recordings, and other material you provide (“User Content”). You grant DaniKConnections a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, copy, transmit, transform, display, and otherwise process User Content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, support, and improve the Service; follow your instructions; enforce these terms; and comply with law.

You represent that you own User Content or have all permissions needed to submit and process it. Do not upload confidential information belonging to an employer or another person without authorization. You are responsible for maintaining your own copies of important materials.

You must use the Service lawfully and in accordance with the DaniKConnections Terms and applicable third-party policies. You may not:

• access another person’s account, resume, files, or data without permission;
• upload malware, malicious code, weaponized documents, or content intended to exploit a person, model, system, or integration;
• use prompt injection, adversarial instructions, automated scraping, probing, reverse engineering, or similar techniques to bypass safeguards, extract secrets, discover vulnerabilities, or interfere with the Service;
• overload, disrupt, damage, or circumvent security, rate limits, authentication, access controls, usage limits, or monitoring;
• impersonate another person, misrepresent employment, education, licenses, qualifications, identity, or authority, or create deceptive documents;
• submit content that infringes rights, violates law, facilitates fraud or abuse, or is unlawfully discriminatory, harassing, threatening, or harmful; or
• resell, sublicense, or provide unauthorized automated access to the Service.

You must protect your credentials, promptly report suspected unauthorized access, and cooperate with reasonable security investigations. Security testing requires our prior written permission.

AI and automated outputs can be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, biased, or similar to content produced for others. Scores and ATS-readiness indicators are the Service’s estimates, not results from an employer or applicant-tracking-system vendor. You must independently review every suggestion, confirm every fact, correct errors, and decide whether an output is appropriate before using, publishing, or submitting it.

You remain solely responsible for your resume, applications, representations to employers, compliance obligations, and employment decisions. DaniKConnections does not guarantee interviews, employment, compensation, employer acceptance, ATS performance, or any other outcome.

Registration, sign-in, entitlements, and billing may be managed through your DaniKConnections account. You must provide accurate account information and keep it current. Plans, fees, renewals, cancellations, refunds, and payment terms are governed by the DaniKConnections Terms and the terms shown when you purchase access.

You may not share access beyond what your plan permits. You are responsible for activity performed through your account except to the extent caused by our breach of a legal duty.

Our Resume Mentor privacy page and the DaniKConnections Privacy Policy provide additional information about how information is collected, used, stored, disclosed, and deleted. The Service uses third-party infrastructure and processors, including OpenAI for selected AI features. Internet transmissions and storage systems cannot be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Use the account and privacy controls made available to you, and contact us if you believe your data or account has been compromised. Deleting content from the Service may not immediately remove backup copies, security logs, legally retained records, or information held independently by a third party under its own retention rules.

The Service may experience errors, delays, failed imports or exports, formatting differences, provider outages, maintenance, data loss, network interruptions, security incidents, or incompatibilities with browsers, devices, employers, and third-party systems. We may modify, suspend, discontinue, or limit any feature, including AI models and integrations, at any time.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DaniKConnections is not responsible for missed application deadlines, rejected or malformed files, lost edits, unavailable outputs, formatting changes, or other harm caused by outages, transmission failures, third-party systems, user devices, or reliance on a single copy. Preview and verify exported documents and keep independent backups before submitting them.

The Service may interoperate with OpenAI, hosting, storage, database, authentication, payment, and other third-party providers. Those services are not controlled by DaniKConnections and may be governed by separate terms and privacy policies. We do not guarantee that a third-party service will remain available, compatible, secure, or unchanged.

Links to third-party websites do not constitute endorsement. Your direct dealings with third parties are between you and them, except where applicable law provides otherwise.

We may investigate, restrict, suspend, or terminate access when we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect users, DaniKConnections, the Service, or third parties; comply with law; address nonpayment; respond to a security risk; or enforce these terms. Where practical and legally permitted, we may provide notice and an opportunity to cure.

You may stop using the Service at any time and may use available account controls to cancel access or request deletion. Provisions that by their nature should survive—such as ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, dispute terms, and accrued payment obligations—survive termination.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service and all outputs are provided “as is” and “as available.” DaniKConnections disclaims all express, implied, and statutory warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, security, and that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Nothing in these Resume Terms excludes warranties, remedies, or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so some of this section may not apply to you.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DaniKConnections and its owners, affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; lost profits, opportunities, goodwill, or data; or the cost of substitute services arising from or related to the Service, even if advised that such harm was possible.

The liability limits in the DaniKConnections Terms apply to the Service. If those terms do not provide an applicable aggregate cap, DaniKConnections’ total liability arising from the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid specifically for the Service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or (b) US $100. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law or to liability that cannot legally be limited.

To the extent permitted by law, you will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless DaniKConnections and the parties listed above from third-party claims, damages, and reasonable costs arising from your User Content, your unlawful or malicious conduct, your infringement of another person’s rights, or your material violation of these Resume Terms. This obligation does not apply to the extent a claim was caused by DaniKConnections’ own unlawful conduct.

We may update these Resume Terms to reflect changes in the Service, providers, risk, or law. We will post the revised terms and update the effective date. If a change materially reduces your rights or increases your obligations, we will provide reasonable notice when required by law. Continuing to use the Service after the updated terms take effect means you accept them; if you do not agree, stop using the Service.
